Democracy in Danger has been tapped with the Webby People’s Voice Award for best news and politics podcast of 2023.

The Webby Awards are among the highest honors in the digital world, celebrating the best websites, apps, games, podcasts and other internet goodies. They are presented each year by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

This week, we attended the 27th Annual Webby Awards, hosted by Roy Wood Jr. of The Daily Show.

“The Webby is a major leap forward for this 3-year-old podcast. It’s affirmation that we have a large and devoted audience beyond the academy,” said Siva Vaidhyanathan, co-host of Democracy in Danger.
